How singing unlocks the brain BBC Just wanted to tag this because it ties in with my research into what makes mantra chanting an effective spiritual practice. One of the threads I intend to follow when I get time is this idea that singing together is beneficial in many ways: emotional resonance with other people... rhythm seems to be important as well. Trying to track down the research to support this hypothesis is a bit tricky, but there is some.

Google Base
This what makes Google interesting... always something new. Apparently Google emplyees have 20% of their time to just muck around and come up with stuff. This new stuff is interesting. It's a database that uses upload directly to - you describe it, and Google indexes it, and anything with a high Google rating will get into the main index as well. People are uploading recipes, job ads, stuff for sale, etc. Cool. Google Base
